FameLab Germany science communication competition (26 Mar 2026, apply by 10 Mar)
FameLab Germany is about to start its next round – sign up now to participate in one of the most fun and entertaining science communication competitions live on stage: The regional heat FameLab Germany: Bielefeld will be held on 26 March 2026.
“FameLab – Talking Science” is an international competition seeking the best new talents in science communication. The aim of FameLab is to encourage young scientists to inspire and excite the public’s imagination with a vision of science in the 21st century.
- On stage: Candidates have just three minutes to present their topic to a panel of expert judges and to win over the non-scientific audience by being entertaining and original as well as scientifically accurate. (Presentations can be held in German or English.)
- Win great prizes! The winner and runner-up of FameLab’s regional heats will win 300 € / 200 € and both attend an exclusive Training on Science-Communication and Media (12/13 June 2026), after which you’ll be ready for the FameLab Germany final on 1 July in Bielefeld. Winning the national final will open the door to the international arena.
