New tool for increasing female researchers visibility

During the doctoral phase, laying the foundation for a successful academic career includes one key element: visibility – through publications, conferences, professional networks, or online presence.

But how can you increase your visibility in a way that feels right for you?

The new Prof:inSicht Configurator is a free, German-language tool developed by an interdisciplinary team at Munich University of Applied Sciences as part of the BMBF-funded Prof:inSicht project to specifically help female doctoral researchers reflect on and develop their academic visibility in an individual and authentic way.

What the tool offers:

  • Self-reflection prompts: What suits you? Where and how do you want to be seen?
  • Strategic guidance for social media, conferences, networking, and more
  • Research-based advice without one-size-fits-all solutions
  • Tailored specifically to your career stage and personality
