CZS STEM Impact School for science communication (apply until 23 Jun 2025)

The CZS STEM Impact School is a three-day educational training program for researchers from the STEM disciplines. It will take place on three dates in the second half of 2025. Interested parties can choose between participation in Berlin (14-16 October 2025, in German), Stuttgart (4-6 November 2025, in English) or the option of online participation (18-20 November 2025, in German). Participation in the three-day training programme costs €100. You will be invoiced for the participation fee after the event.

The aim of the Impact School is to impart fundamental principles for socially effective and quality-orientated science communication in five consecutive modules. The focus is on the strategic development of communication activities to achieve an individual impact goal. In addition to the development of individual communication and impact plans, the programme also focuses on inter- and transdisciplinary exchange between participants. The program is sponsored by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

There is a limited number of spaces for each Impact School. Please indicate your preferred date and possible alternative dates in the form.

Application deadline: 23 June 2025

Requirements for the application:

  • You are doing research in the STEM field (Natural Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
  • You are at least in the second year of your respective doctorate or are a post-doc up to 6 years after completing your doctorate.
  • You have an interest in the societal impact of your research and in learning effective science communication tools
