Exhibition “Was zum Quant?” at Forum Wissen
The special exhibition “Was zum Quant?” (the exhibition for the quantum year 2025) had its opening on 26 March 2025 at Forum Wissen. From now on, you can discover at the large special exhibition space how Göttingen became the historical starting point of modern quantum mechanics 100 years ago through the work of physicists such as Werner Heisenberg, Max Born and Pascual Jordan.
The exhibition takes you from the origins of quantum mechanics in the 1920s to current applications of quantum physics principles in important technologies – such as solar cells.
The patron of the special exhibition is the German Physical Society, which is supporting the nationwide activities of the International Year of Quantum Science.
