16th symposium Berlin School for Regenerative Therapies (BSRT) symposium (apply by 15 Sep 2025)

From 4-6 December 2025 the 16th Annual Symposium of the Berlin School for Regenerative Therapies (BSRT) is taking place in Berlin, in honour of female pioneers who contributed to advancing science and technologies using their unique strength.

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “From Scar to Strength: Pioneering Research to Support Regeneration of Fully Functional Tissues”, the emerging therapeutic strategies and recent advances in clinical trials, alongside innovative organ-on-a-chip platforms that model human physiology to accelerate translational research, will be explored.

The goal is to bring together leading-edge research on tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and biomaterials science. Register now!

Keynote speakers:

  • Prof. Ivan Martin (University of Basel): “Rahel Hirsch: Making the leap – Turning research discoveries into clinical applications”
  • Prof. Johanna Bolander (Berlin Institute of Health @ Charité): “Vera Rubin: Reaching for the stars – Discovering the bigger picture of regeneration with organ-on-a-chip models”
  • Prof. Jennifer Davis (University of Washington): “Mary Shelley: Reinventing the native properties of tissues – From tissue engineering to regeneration”
  • Dr. Isis Fernandez (Helmholtz Munich): “Rosalind Franklin: An X-Ray of fibrosis – A closer look into molecular mechanism”
  • Dr. Carlo Alberto Paggi (CXO chiron): “Ada Lovelace: Paving the way for today’s start-up scene – Star-ups for model systems in regenerative medicine”
  • and many more (full program: here)

Registration deadline: 15 September 2025 (register here)
