Science Slam at Study Information Days (11 Mar 2025, register until 7 Feb 2025)
Presenting your own research in an entertaining way for 10 minutes – this is a science slam aimed primarily at a non-specialist and non-scientific audience. This format has been held in Göttingen for many years. If you would like to try your hand at being a slammer, this is your chance:
During the Study Information Days on Tuesday, 11 March 2025, the University is planning a small Science Slam with four researchers from different disciplines in Göttingen and they are looking for enthusiastic slammers for this event. For all slammers it will probably be their first time on stage in this context – an ideal opportunity to get into the genre. And of course there will be comprehensive coaching and tips on how to find the right mix of science and entertainment beforehand. Also, a fee will also be paid to all slammers.
By the way – all topics are suitable for a science slam: social sciences and humanities, linguistics and cultural studies as well as natural sciences. The exciting thing is the diversity of science and research in Göttingen.
The slam should be held in German if possible, but slams in English are also welcome.
