Content: Open access to academic publications has become an integral part of academic work. But what is the current state of Open Access? What challenges and opportunities does it present? What publication formats and licensing options are available, and how can Open Access be funded sustainably? These questions will be addressed in the introductory talk by Dr. Michael Kleineberg and Dr. Julian Vuorimäki (University Library, Freie Universität Berlin). Both speakers specialize in Open Access and academic publishing, with academic backgrounds in library and information science (Michael) and history of science (Julian).

Following a 30-minute presentation, there will be time for questions and discussion. You can find the full announcement on open-access.network
