Affiliationsrichtlinie der Universität / Affiliation Policy of the University
Am 8. November 2023 hat das Präsidium nach Stellungnahme des Senats die „Richtlinie zur standardisierten Angabe der Affiliation bei wissenschaftlichen Publikationen“ (Affiliationsrichtlinie) beschlossen. Mit der Richtlinie reagiert die Universität auf den Umstand, dass Publikationen für die Bewertung wissenschaftlicher Leistungen, vor allem auch in internationalen Rankings, weiterhin eine zentrale Rolle spielen.
Um ihre Position im wissenschaftlichen Wettbewerb zu stärken, ist die Universität darauf angewiesen, dass die an ihr erbrachten Forschungsleistungen sowohl den Autor*innen als auch der Institution korrekt zugeordnet werden können. Die Affiliationsrichtlinie gilt für alle Mitglieder und Angehörigen der Universität, einschließlich der Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, und soll sie dabei unterstützen, ihre Affiliation mit der Universität einheitlich und im Einklang mit den Regeln guter wissenschaftlicher Praxis anzugeben.

On 8 November 2023, the Presidential Board adopted the „Guidelines for the standardised declaration of affiliation in research publications“ (Affiliation Policy) after receiving an opinion from the Senate. With this guideline, the University is responding to the fact that publications continue to play a central role in the evaluation of academic performance, especially in international rankings.
In order to strengthen its position in scientific competition, the University is dependent on the fact that the research work carried out at the University can be correctly attributed to both the authors and the institution. The Affiliation Policy applies to all members and affiliates of the University, including the University Medical Center (UMG), and is intended to support them in declaring their affiliation with the University in a standardised manner and in accordance with the rules of good research practice.
