Verkürzte Öffnungszeiten der Zentralbibliothek: weitere Ausweichplätze im Verfügungsgebäude / Reduced Opening Hours at the Central Library: Additional Alternative Study Spaces
Momentan schließt die Zentralbibliothek wegen eines technischen Problems mit der Notbeleuchtung schon um 18 Uhr. Nun hat die SUB zusammen mit unserem Gebäudemanagement weitere Ausweichlernplätze im Verfügungsgebäude (VG) am Zentralcampus eingerichtet. Ab sofort können dort 750 zusätzliche Lern- und Arbeitsplätze genutzt werden, von Montag bis Freitag jeweils von 16 bis 24 Uhr.
Zusätzlich zu den Plätzen im VG (Lageplan) können Sie auch andere Bibliotheksstandorte nutzen. Mitarbeiter*innen der SUB vor Ort helfen bei der Suche nach einem alternativen Lernort. Voraussichtlich am Freitag, 20. Februar 2026, sind die Reparaturarbeiten für die Notbeleuchtung in der Zentralbibliothek abgeschlossen und die regulären Öffnungszeiten gelten wieder.
The Central Library is currently closing at 18:00 due to a technical problem with the emergency lighting. The Library was able to set up additional alternative study spaces for students at short notice: Starting now, up to 750 study and work spaces will be available in the Verfügungsgebäude (location on the map) from Monday to Friday from 16:00 to midnight – in addition to the other library locations.
The reason for the reduced opening hours is the failure of the emergency lighting in the Central Library. As a result, the escape routes are not adequately lit after dark and the safety of users cannot be guaranteed. The work is expected to be completed on Friday, 20 February 2026. The staff on site will be happy to help you find an alternative place to study.
