Optimize Your Dissertation Project Management: Process Analysis, Time Lines, and Work Flow (27.10./17. & 24.11. / 08.12.2025)
This online workshop provides opportunities to optimize the management of the dissertation project and to re-orientate the dissertation process where necessary. The workshop offers a space to realistically reflect upon, evaluate, and adapt the time and project management, identify helpful as well as destructive work habits, and will improve participant’s self-management skills.
The participants will learn tools and techniques for planning the weeks and structuring the days and work load. What are the typical doctoral thesis crises? What motivates doctoral students and where do they see obstacles ahead?
Additionally, the workshop will assist participants in placing their doctoral thesis within the larger research field and in proactively participating in the scientific community, fostering their own network.
The online workshop requires some offscreen tasks between meetings.
To sum it up, the workshop will cover the following topics:
- time management
- prioritizing
- managing of work flow – milestones and stepping stones
- work-life-balance
- project management and process analysis
- research environment and academic structures
