„Mit der Archäologie durch die Zeit“ lautet der Titel eines Sommerferien-Workshops im Forum Wissen. Vom 3. bis 7. August 2026 können Kinder und Jugendliche im Alter von 8 bis 13 Jahren gemeinsam Leben und Kultur in der Antike erkunden. Für Kurzentschlossene gibt es noch freie Plätze; die Teilnahme ist kostenlos, um Anmeldung wird gebeten.
Jeweils von 10 bis 14 Uhr schauen die Heranwachsenden sich gemeinsam mit Studierenden der Archäologie und der Philologie das Leben der Menschen in der Steinzeit und der Antike genauer an. Dabei steht das interaktive Entdecken und kreative Ausprobieren im Vordergrund: Höhlenmalerei ausprobieren, Botschaften in Hieroglyphen schreiben, Amulette basteln und die attische Demokratie erleben. Organisiert wird der Workshop in Kooperation mit der studentischen Initiative ZAK! – Zeitportal Antike Kulturen.

‘A Journey Through Time with Archaeology’ is the title of a summer holiday workshop at the Forum Wissen. From 3 to 7 August 2026, 10 am to 2 pm, children and young people aged 8 to 13 can explore life and culture in antiquity together. There are still places available for last-minute participants; attendance is free, but registration is required.
The participants will join archaeology and philology students to take a closer look at the lives of people in the Stone Age and antiquity. The focus is on interactive discovery and creative experimentation: trying their hand at cave painting, writing messages in hieroglyphs, making amulets and experiencing Attic democracy. The workshop is organised in cooperation with the student initiative ZAK! – Zeitportal Antike Kulturen.
