Geschichte im KWZ: Buchvorstellung im Forschungskolloquium Frühe Neuzeit
Im Rahmen des Forschungskolloquiums Frühe Neuzeit lädt das Seminar für Mittlere und Neuere Geschichte zur Buchvorstellung „Geschichte im KWZ“ ein. Vorgestellt werden zwei aktuelle Publikationen zur Geschichte frühneuzeitlicher Kriege und Gewalt: Sarah von Hagen, Maritime Gewalten. Die Schlacht in den atlantischen Seekriegen, 1665–1783 (Campus Verlag), sowie Marian Füssel, The World in Flames. A Global History of the Seven Years’ War(Columbia University Press, übers. von Brían Hanrahan). Die Veranstaltung findet am Dienstag, 27. Januar 2026, von 18–20 Uhr c.t. im KWZ 0.602 statt. Bei einer kleinen Erfrischung besteht im Anschluss Gelegenheit zum Austausch.
As part of the Early Modern History Research Colloquium, the Department of Medieval and Modern History invites you to a book presentation as part of History at the KWZ. Two recent publications on early modern warfare and violence will be presented: Sarah von Hagen, Maritime Violence. Battle in Atlantic Naval Warfare, 1665–1783 (Campus Verlag), and Marian Füssel, The World in Flames. A Global History of the Seven Years’ War (Columbia University Press, translated by Brían Hanrahan). The event will take place on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (c.t.) in KWZ 0.602. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for discussion over light refreshments.
