An Introduction to Science Communication: How, Why, What? (14.-17.11.2015)
The online workshop will give researchers an overview of the main elements of science communication, including the tools to successfully communicate your research plus useful tips and common pitfalls. AI will be taken into account.
The teaching will be in the form of short interactive seminars, with breaks and games for students and time for questions and answers.
Session I
You will learn how to communicate your research to different audiences and what makes a good story. You will find out how journalists and the press operate.
Session II
We will consider controversial topics and difficult questions, followed by different ways to be involved – from science events to social media – plus what support you can get from the University. There will be time for questions and answers.
