Funding for open access books
We would like to remind you of the existing funding opportunities for Open Access books. In addition to funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG), funding is available until February 2027 via the Lower Saxony-wide publication fund NiedersachsenOPEN. Only publication costs for the publishing in Open Access are eligible for funding. Funding for printing costs etc. is not possible.
Funding via NiedersachsenOPEN is generally available to all authors at the University of Göttingen (including UMG). Regardless of the authors‘ affiliation, open access books on Lower Saxony topics or collections of Lower Saxony’s memory institutions are also eligible for funding.
