An 80,000 word PhD thesis would take 9 hours to present. Their time limit… 3 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Three Minute Thesis competition<\/strong> is an internationally renowned competition held at numerous universities worldwide and was adopted by the Coimbra Group<\/a> to which the University of G\u00f6ttingen belongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024 the Graduate Schools and Alumni G\u00f6ttingen are hosting their own Three-Minute-Thesis format in the course of the universities alumni day according to the rules<\/a> and judging criteria of the University of Queensland<\/a>, inventor of the 3MT format<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctoral students from various disciplines (from all four graduate schools) will present their doctoral project<\/strong> in a single static slide (PPP) in English in just three minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a reminder, that the competition<\/strong> will be held on 16 November 2024 <\/strong>at the Assembly Hall <\/strong>on the Wilhelmsplatz 1 <\/strong>starting at 15:00<\/strong> h<\/strong> (map<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G\u00f6ttingen\u2019s PhD students already participated four times at the international Coimbra Group 3MT competition and three times they made it to the finals:<\/p>\n\n\n
