{"id":793,"date":"2024-07-29T13:27:12","date_gmt":"2024-07-29T11:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.uni-goettingen.de\/gauss\/?p=793"},"modified":"2024-08-29T09:56:03","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T07:56:03","slug":"quantum2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.uni-goettingen.de\/gauss\/2024\/07\/29\/quantum2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Quantum2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">100 years is just the beginning&#8230;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The formulation of quantum mechanics in 1925 laid a lasting foundation for our physical understanding of nature. 100 years later, in 2025, quantum mechanics has an impact on all areas of our culture, science, technology and art.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>German Physical Society<\/strong> is taking this as a chance to highlight the role of quantum physics from all sides with a comprehensive anniversary programme together with its international sister societies and other partners. The UNESCO &#8220;International Year of Quantum Science and Technology&#8221; will provide the framework for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to shed light on the role of quantum physics in the light of its results, its future options and its origins in all its facets, the DPG is planning numerous established events and new formats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAVE THE DATE: The opening event will take place on Tuesday, <strong>14 January 2025<\/strong>, 19:25 &#8211;
