Together against sexualised violence at the university
Sexual violence is a social problem that also exists at universities. Prevention, education, and a clear stance against all forms of sexual violence are crucial steps on the path to a university where everyone can research, teach, learn, and work in a safe environment. KNOW HOW is an online self-learning tool from the University of Göttingen.
The total time required is approx. 30 minutes. You can take breaks at any time as long as you do not close the window.
In four chapters – KNOW WHAT, KNOW WHY, KNOW HOW and KNOW WHO – video clips are shown after a short introduction, followed by a multiple choice question. Some chapters also contain graphics or smaller tasks. Both the questions and the feedback text below the answers are intended to encourage reflection on the complex situations shown in the videos.
The aim is not just to test knowledge, but to sensitize to various problems and to increase awareness of sexualized violence and harassment. Many of the questions are designed in such a way that you want to answer “Yes, but…” or “No, but…”. The feedback texts want to take up this “but” and add perspectives.
