Call for Applications: Interdisciplinary PhD Symposium on Identity, Transformations, and Agency in Göttingen (apply until 31 May 2026)
The ENLIGHT Thematic Network IDenti-T (Interdisciplinary Dialogue on evolving identities in times of democratic Transformations) invites PhD researchers from all disciplines to apply for the international symposium “Facing Deconstruction: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Identity, Transformations, and Agency”, taking place at the University of Göttingen on 12-13 November 2026.
The symposium explores how researchers, institutions, and social movements navigate questions of identity, democratic transformation, and political agency in times of change. The program includes short research presentations, roundtable discussions, mentoring sessions, and networking opportunities in an interdisciplinary setting.
Researchers from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Topics include identity and democracy, anti-diversity backlash, intersectionality, digitalisation, climate politics, discrimination, and interdisciplinary approaches to contested identities.
