The University of G\u00f6ttingen is supporting 10 postdoctoral research stays in G\u00f6ttingen in 2026<\/strong> with as much as 10,000\u20ac each. This is a one-time measure in 2026, applications can be submitted from now on. The decision on funding will be made promptly. 

Applications can be submitted by professors or postdocs of the university (excluding UMG). For funding, on-site supervision by the group and and close collaboration with the guest postdoc troughout the stay are required.

The research stays are intented to deliberately create spaces for encounters that foster new research approaches and connect with the University’s strategic research goals<\/a>, Understanding Energy<\/em>, Information, and Life<\/em>, Creating Knowledge in a Changing World<\/em> and Building a Sustainable Future<\/em>. In a long-term perspective, research stays may result in applications for third-party funded independent junior research groups (e.g. Emmy Noether-Group, ERC Starting Grant), creating prospects for the researchers to work independently and for a longer timer at the University of G\u00f6ttingen.
