W1 assistant professors (with or without Tenure Track) and junior research group leaders in similar positions in natural or engineering sciences, medicine or psychology, who work at German universities or research institutions are encouraged in further strengthening their independent research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Award is endowed with <strong>25,000 \u20ac<\/strong> and includes, among others, additional funding for one&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hector-fellow-academy.de\/en\/young-scientist-support\/doctoral-positions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">doctoral position<\/a>. It is awarded annually to 3 scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n<a class=\"wp-block-read-more\" href=\"https:\/\/news.uni-goettingen.de\/gauss-career\/2025\/06\/12\/hector-rcd-award-for-junior-group-leaders-apply-between-1-sept-and-30-oct-2025\/\" target=\"_self\">Read more<span class=\"screen-reader-text\">: Hector RCD Award for Junior Group leaders (apply between 1 Sept and 30 Oct 2025)<\/span><\/a>\n\n\n<p>The Hector Fellow Academy is pursuing the following goals with the Hector RCD&nbsp;Award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Active promotion of researchers on their way to a professorship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expansion of the scientific life within the&nbsp;HFA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building new opportunities for cooperation between Hector Fellows and the Awardees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The researchers honored with the Award will be accepted for five years as members of the network of top scientists of the Hector Fellow Academy, which is composed of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hector-fellow-academy.de\/en\/research\/hector-fellows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hector Science Award<\/a>&nbsp;winners and excellent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hector-fellow-academy.de\/en\/research\/doctoral-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">young researchers<\/a>.
