Guidelines on Generative AI in Research
The European Commission has published “Living guidelines on the responsible use of generative AI in research” – a dynamic, evolving framework to support researchers, institutions, and policymakers across Europe in the ethical and effective integration of generative AI into academic and scientific workflows.
Unlike static policy documents, these “living guidelines” are designed to be regularly updated as technology, regulations, and best practices evolve. This ensures that the recommendations remain relevant in the fast-moving field of AI.
