About the speaker: Jana Lasser, Professor for Data Analysis at Graz University, is an alumna of the GGNB program “Physics of Biological and Complex Systems” and founding member of the Network Against Abuse of Power in Science. Her talk will relate the hierarchies and multiple dependencies in academia to the abuse of power, detail the consequences for scientific integrity and mental health, and suggest solutions.
