„Boost Research! Seed Grants for Lower Saxony“ – last chance for the mandatory online consultation hour on 16 Apr 2026 (grant application deadline: 2 June 2026)
The Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and the Volkswagen Foundation are specifically supporting new collaborations among researchers in Lower Saxony through a new initiative called Boost Research – Seed Grants for Lower Saxony
The aim is to initiate innovative research projects and subsequently attract additional third-party funding.
There will be a mandatory (!) online consultation hour on 16 April 2026 for prospective applicants.
- Field of study: open to all disciplines
- Type of funding: collaborative projects
- Target group: postdoctoral researchers at universities and research institutions in Lower Saxony
- Applications must be submitted in English; additional deadline 2027
- Funding period: up to 4 years
- Funding amount: up to EUR 800,000
