Life Sciences Bridge Award (apply by 30 Apr 2026)

The new application round for the Life Sciences Bridge Award presented by the Aventis Foundation has started and the call will clos on 30 April 2026.

The award is currently the most highly endowed German prize for young talent in the life sciences: up to three outstanding researchers receive 100,000€ each to further develop their indpendent, often unconventional research approaches and make the transition from doctoral studies to professorship.

The award is aimed at outstanding young academics in the fields of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, medicine, and pharmacy – also in combination with mathematics, technology/engineering, or computer science – who are pursuing an academic career, have already completed their doctorate or habilitation (three years after the doctorate at the earliest), but do not yet hold a permanent professorship.
