„Boost Research! Seed Grants for Lower Saxony“ (apply by 2 June 2026) – mandatory online consultation hours on 17 March or 16 Apr 2026
The Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and the Volkswagen Foundation are specifically supporting new collaborations among researchers in Lower Saxony through a new initiative called Boost Research – Seed Grants for Lower Saxony
The aim is to initiate innovative research projects and subsequently attract additional third-party funding.
There will be a mandatory (!) online consultation hour on 17 March and 16 April 16 2026 for prospective applicants.

- Type of funding: collaborative projects
- Target group: postdoctoral researchers at universities and research institutions in Lower Saxony
- Applications must be submitted in English; additional deadline 2027
- Funding period: up to 4 years
- Funding amount: up to EUR 800,000
