Universitätsmusik: Konzerte des Kammerchors und Podiumsdiskussion / University Music: chamber choir concerts and panel discussion
Der Kammerchor der Universität Göttingen lädt herzlich ein zum Konzert „Advance Democracy“ mit Werken von Musgrave, Britten und einer Uraufführung von Ostrzyga. Vor der Aufführung am Sonntag, 6. September 2026, ist im Forum Wissen ein Podiumsgespräch zur Wechselwirkung von Kunst und Demokratie geplant.
Das Konzert wird am Samstag, 5. September 2026, ab 19 Uhr in der Martinikirche in Adelebsen aufgeführt und am Sonntag, 6. September, ab 16 Uhr in der Paulinerkirche, Papendiek 14.
Außerdem findet am Sonntag im Forum Wissen bereits ab 12 Uhr eine Einführung in das Programm und ein Podium zu den Wechselwirkungen von Kunst und Demokratie statt – unter anderem mit der ehemaligen Göttinger Kultur- und Sozialdezernentin Dr. Dagmar Schlapeit-Beck und Alexander Hensel vom Institut für Demokratieforschung der Universität Göttingen.
Der Eintritt zur Podiumsdiskussion ist frei. Karten für die Konzerte sind über Reservix und an der Tageskasse erhältlich.

The University of Göttingen Chamber Choir cordially invites you to the concert ‘Advance Democracy’, featuring works by Musgrave, Britten and a world premiere by Ostrzyga. Prior to the performance on Sunday, 6 September 2026, a panel discussion on the interplay between art and democracy is planned at the Forum Wissen Göttingen.
The concert will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026, from 19:00 at the Martinikirche in Adelebsen, and on Sunday, 6 September, from 16:00 at the Paulinerkirche, Papendiek 14.
On Sunday, an introduction to the programme and a panel discussion on the interplay between art and democracy will take place at the Forum Wissen from 12:00 noon – featuring, amongst others, the former Head of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of the City, Dr Dagmar Schlapeit-Beck, and Alexander Hensel from Göttingen University’s Institute for Democracy Research.
Admission to the panel discussion is free. Introduction and panel in German. Tickets for the concerts are available via Reservix and at the box office.
