Das Open Science Meet-up am Dienstag, 23. Juni 2026, behandelt das Thema Peer-Reviews im Zeitalter von KI. Es richtet sich an alle Interessierten und findet diesmal vor Ort in der Fakultät für Physik, Raum SR 15 statt. Beginn ist um 13 Uhr.
Peer-Reviews sind nach wie vor ein Eckpfeiler der Qualitätssicherung und der Auswahlverfahren im Rahmen wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen, akademischer Konferenzen und der Forschungsförderung. Im Zeitalter der künstlichen Intelligenz gibt es jedoch zahlreiche Herausforderungen für Autor*innen und Gutachter*innen.

The next Open Science Göttingen Meet-up will take place on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The topic is approaches and guidance related to the use of AI in peer review. Note that the meeting will take place in person in the Faculty of Physics, Room SR 15. It starts at 13:00.
Peer review remains a corner stone of quality assurance and selection processes in the context of scholarly publishing, academic conferences and research funding. However, in the age of AI, there are multiple challenges for authors and reviewers. Reviewers are faced with a glut of review requests which are often automatically but poorly matched with their expertise areas.
