Nordcampus: Sperrung Burkhardtweg und Verlegung der Buslinien / North Campus: Closure of Burkhardtweg and rerouting of bus routes
Wegen Baumaßnahmen auf dem Nordcampus wird in den kommenden Wochen der Burckhardtweg an verschiedenen Stellen vorübergehend gesperrt. Darüber hinaus werden die Buslinien 21, 22 und 23 verlegt und über Ersatzhaltestellen geführt (siehe unten). Ab Montag, 27. April 2026, ist voraussichtlich bis Ende Juli mit Einschränkungen und Baulärm zu rechnen.
Die Bauarbeiten finden in Zusammenhang mit dem Forschungsneubau AgriFutur statt und umfassen die Verlegung von Leerrohren sowie Fernwärme-, Trinkwasser-, Schmutz- und Abwasserleitungen am Burkhardtweg, nördlich der neuen Forsthalle und im Ausfahrbereich des Parkplatzes Rechenzentrum. Während der drei Bauabschnitte ist der Burkhardtweg an verschiedenen Stellen in diesem Bereich gesperrt.
Die Zufahrt zum Burkhardtweg von Westen (aus Richtung XLAB) war bislang nur für den Busverkehr zulässig: Diese Einschränkung wird bis zum Beginn der Sperrung aufgehoben, sodass die Zufahrt auch für den restlichen Verkehr möglich ist. Von der östlich gelegenen Otto-Hahn-Straße wird man nur noch bis zum Baustellenbereich gelangen, eine Durchfahrt wird nicht möglich sein. Der große Parkplatz an der Ecke Burkhardtweg/Otto-Hahn-Straße kann weiterhin genutzt werden. Die Gehwege für Fußgänger*innen werden weitestgehend freigehalten.
Due to construction work on the North Campus, Burckhardtweg will be temporarily closed at various points over the coming weeks. In addition, bus routes 21, 22 and 23 will be diverted and will serve alternative stops (see below). From Monday 27 April 2026, restrictions and construction noise are expected to continue until the end of July.
The construction work is being carried out in connection with the new AgriFutur research building and involves the laying of empty conduits as well as district heating, drinking water, sewage and wastewater pipes on Burkhardtweg, north of the new forestry hall and in the exit area of the data centre car park. During the three construction phases, Burkhardtweg will be closed at various points in this area.
Access to Burkhardtweg from the west (coming from XLAB) has previously been restricted to buses only: this restriction will be lifted until the road closure begins, so that other vehicles will also be able to access the road. From Otto-Hahn-Straße to the east, it will only be possible to reach the construction site area; it will not be possible to drive straight through. The large car park on the corner of Burkhardtweg and Otto-Hahn-Straße can still be used. The pavements for pedestrians will be kept clear as far as possible.
