Stadtlabor: Tag der offenen Tür am 15. Juni 2024 / Open day at the Urban Lab „Paths to a colonial-critical city“ on 15 June 2024
Genau ein Jahr nach der Auftaktveranstaltung des Projekts „Stadtlabor – Wege zur kolonialkritischen Stadt“ laden wir alle Göttinger*innen und Universitätsangehörigen herzlich zu einem Tag der offenen Tür am Sonnabend, 15. Juni 2024, ein. Hier haben Sie die Möglichkeit, vielfältige Einblicke in die Aktivitäten im Stadtlabor zu erhalten.
Am Nachmittag von 14 bis 17 Uhr stellen im Stadtlabor aktive Gruppen und Organisationen ihre Arbeit auf dem Wilhelmsplatz vor und laden zum Dialog ein. Parallel dazu finden im Stadtlabor-Keller kurze Impulsvorträge zur kolonialen Vergangenheit Göttingens, zu antikolonialem Aktivismus in der Weimarer Republik, kolonialkritischer Aufarbeitung von Familiengeschichte und Dekolonialisierung statt.
Am Abend von 18 bis 20 Uhr diskutierten Kooperationspartner*innen des Stadtlabors bei einer öffentlichen Veranstaltung im Literaturhaus Impulse für eine kolonialkritische Stadt. Bereits bestätigte Podiumsgäste sind Sarah Böger (Gründungsmitglied Göttingen Postkolonial), Haddijatou Jow (Vorstand Niedersächsischer Integrationsrat), Ningiree Kauvee (Ovaherero Youth Speaker) und Charlotte Prauß (Geschichtswissenschaftlerin und Verfasserin der Vorstudie „Koloniale Vergangenheit in Göttingen“).
Der Eintritt für das gesamte Programm ist frei.

Exactly one year after our kick-off event, the project „Urban Lab – paths to a colonial-critical city” cordially invites all Göttingen residents and university members to an open day on Saturday, 15 June 2024.
In the afternoon from 14:00 to 17:00, groups and organisations active in the Urban Lab will present their work on Wilhelmsplatz and invite you to engage in dialogue. You will also have the opportunity to listen to short talks – on Göttingen’s colonial past, anti-colonial activism in the Weimar Republic, colonial-critical reappraisal of family history and decolonisation – in the Stadtlabor basement.
In the evening from 18:00 to 20:00, cooperation partners of the Stadtlabor will discuss impulses for a colonial-critical city at a public event at the Literaturhaus. Confirmed panellists are Sarah Böger (founding member of Göttingen Postkolonial), Haddijatou Jow (board member Lower Saxony Integration Council), Ningiree Kauvee (Ovaherero Youth Speaker), and Charlotte Prauß (historian and author of the preliminary study „Colonial Past in Göttingen“).
