Follow-up-Studie „Care, Career, Corona“ / Follow-up survey “Care, Career, Coronavirus”
Wie hat sich die Corona-Krise auf Arbeits- und Karrierebedingungen ausgewirkt und wie kann die Universität Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen in Krisen unterstützen? Die Studie „Care, Career, Corona“ dient dazu, dies herauszufinden. In Kürze erhalten alle wissenschaftlichen Beschäftigten der Universität Göttingen (ohne Professor*innen auf Dauerstellen) einen Link mit der Bitte, freiwillig an einer quantitativen Erhebung teilzunehmen.
Bereits im Winter 2020/2021 führte das Institut für Diversitätsforschung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Methoden und methodologische Grundlagen der Sozialwissenschaften eine Studie zur Vereinbarkeit von Fürsorge und wissenschaftlicher Tätigkeit von Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen unter Pandemiebedingungen an der Universität Göttingen durch (zur Ergebnispräsentation). Die aktuelle Studie ist eine Follow-up-Studie, die darauf aufbaut.
Parallel zur quantitativen Erhebung unter Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen führen wir Expert*inneninterviews mit Führungskräften durch.

How has the coronavirus crisis affected working and career conditions and how can the University support Early Career Researchers in crises? To find out more about these questions is the aim of the survey “Care, Career, Coronavirus”. Shortly, all academic employees at the University of Göttingen who do not hold a tenured professorship will receive a link with a request for voluntary participation in this quantitative survey.
Back in the winter of 2020/2021, the Diversity Research Institute, in cooperation with the Institute of Methods and Methodological Principles in the Social Sciences, conducted a study on the compatibility of care and academic work of Early Career Researchers under pandemic conditions at the University of Göttingen (see selected findings [in German]). The current survey is part of a follow-up study.
Alongside the quantitative survey among Early Career Researchers, we will be conducting expert interviews with academic leaders.
